SUPPORT SERVICES

Charitable and nonprofit organisations can often find their resources and hands stretched between the work they have set out to do and the basic balancing act of daily chores.

Between all the responsibilities and all of the working dreams within an organisation there often aren't enough hours in the day or people on call.

That's where WE have found ourselves throughout the past years; filling the gap, or building bridges. WE have performed the function of research department, campaigns creation and support, graphic design team, digital management, advisory service, editorials and writing support, providing fundraising assistance, resourcing, administration, events management, and more. For further information see our past works page

Welkin Earth team members have provided varied support services to non-profit enterprises, charities, grassroots campaign networks and community projects alike for more than 80 years combined.

As Welkin Earth is a community association WE only carry out free volunteer services to support organisations, but where volunteer time is limited WE do sometimes refer our freelancing members to carry out low cost paid work which we negotiate discounts for on behalf of charitable/ nonprofit organisations.

Welkin Earth can provide some services for free each month across our available volunteer hours. WE can also negotiate discount services for low income charitable organisations from our members.

Feel free to get in touch if you want to discuss options and possibilities.

Have you looked at our

Beta App info yet?

WE are making 'easy build' mobile phone beta applications so that organisations can try out ideas for communication and campaigning for their networks... see more below...

Beta Phone Apps for Good Causes

We are making mobile apps, we offer these as beta test phase apps which can be published on Google Playstore and Apple Appstore but they don't necessarily contain all the functions that a fully developed app might have. However they are often all an organisation needs to be able to communicate, example their work, push new campaigns and so on.

A beta app is a sort of public test phase mobile phone app so that people can use the tool and give feedback. This is  where ideas on digital enhancement of networks or services can be played out in real life to see what works.

Charitable organisations and grassroots project can often benefit from digital tools. A problem they may find is that in order to get  the level of funding needed for something like a fully developed mobile app for their members they need to first find out whether it's vital to their work and produces a significant benefit. To get funding or allocate their raised funds responsibly they may need to show that the concept works, and what purpose it serves before they have even begun. Perhaps to show that their members, volunteers and employees, like a tool, use it  and so need it, and they need to show that it raises the impact of their work.

Recently one of our members was commissioned to produce a Beta app for student campaigns charity SPEAK which is now published on Apple App store and Google Playstore. They wanted help to communicate with their members with more ease, keeping them up to date with the latest campaigns and to bring them one step along the digital journey that many organisations are struggling to keep up with due to budget constraints.

So before raising thousands upon thousands for a bespoke mobile app how do organisations first test their theory that it will work for them?  By making a Beta app of course and then asking users what they think!

A beta app is something WE may be able to provide for free if we have enough volunteer hours available and the project fits with our aims or we can refer you to our members who charge much reduced rates. Contact us to find out more, and discuss your idea.
